NEIGHBORHOOD TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT
June, 2007 The Baltimore County Planning Board will hold a community
input meeting on Thursday, June 21st at 5:00 pm. regarding the County’s criteria to qualify for standard
traffic calming control measures at specific street locations. This meeting will
be held on the 4th floor of the Court House, 401 Bosley Avenue.
All interested parties are invited to attend and speak.
Briefly stated, decisions to install traffic calming measures at specific locations are based on a point system, with
points assigned for both volume (VPH) and speed (MPH) measurements taken by the County at the worst hour of the day. Point totals must add up to the County’s specified number to qualify for
installation. There are additional items considered including School Zone and sidewalks that add into the point total.
